Sustainability Speaker Series at UC Irvine
This is an incredible opportunity to learn from industry leaders about where we are, where we are going, and where we need to be with regards to sustainability. I attended the second talk by Mark Halle, Executive Director of the International Institute of Sustainable Development in Europe, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The talk was especially informative and valuable touching on the mechanisms for large scale transformation toward a sustainable future. There was a focus on Investments, Trade, Subsidies, and the evolution of the market, which will be necessary to not only save us from catastrophic climate change scenarios, but also for achievable sustainability results. What we need is a new vision for this country, grounded in grassroots mobilization, as the leader for the sustainable future. He also mentioned how unless we make significant investments into the Green economy, we will be usurped by the likes of China, India, and the EU, who have all positioned themselves to capitalize on these opportunities.
Hope to see you at the next talk!

New Year - 2010
Wow, 2010!!!
It's seems just a decade ago, we were talking about these times of 2008-1012. Oh wait, it was a decade ago. There was a general prophetic understanding of what was coming down the pipe. This awareness was based on prophecy (Hopi, Mayan, and others), astrology, intuition, and cosmological cycles of development. Discourse occurred from within the synergy of such observations, including the many phone calls that I received from friends and family.
So what is 2010 all about? Well, below and attached are several intriguing videos, but I also thought I would add a few of my own ideas.
2008 & 2009 were incredibly destabilizing. Much of the structures that we rely on as the foundations of society are going through a process of dissolution. Even the infrastructure of our modern civilization is in diverse states of disrepair, irrelevance, and even destructive influence on health, the environment, and the very society it is claimed to serve. Of course, these larger social forces effect the lives of individuals across the country. 2010 is the midway point between 2008-2012, four of the most challenging and transformation years of our modern history. This is a turning point within a time of crisis, which I believe gives us a the opportunity to regroup, evaluate our choices, and either choose a new direction or not.
In a sense, this is a time for those who have aligned themselves with transcendence and positive transformation to feel empowered in the process, while for those who have continued to resist change will be further encouraged to change. The basis of understanding this change is to realize that the forces acting on us individually and collectively are of cosmological scale. This is where the qualities of surrender and adjustment come to play out there importance in our daily lives as we continue to open-up to the energies coming to and through us. Trust in the future and have faith in the critical mass of human change.

Avatar: Save the Earth - Gaia, our Indigenous cultures and people, and the very essence of life on this planet
I couldn't have said this better myself. Check out the link and realize that this is the story and the CONNECTION that must be made. We must relearn and remember how to see one another and all life on this gift of a planet again (period)!
